The Iowa Grocery Industry Association (IGIA) is a state trade association that represents the food industry including chain and independent supermarkets, convenience stores, mass merchandisers, wholesalers, brokers, manufacturers, and distributors.
Founded in 1899, the IGIA has long served as a resource to its members, the food industry, and the general public through education, legislative, partnership and philanthropic programs. The association’s leadership is as diverse as the industry it serves with directors from major retailers and independent markets, as well as national and local wholesalers and suppliers.
Headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, the IGIA sponsors a number of industry specific events as well as recognizing outstanding retailers in the state.(Learn more.)
